Error 4:

Postby hyoo » Sat Feb 19, 2011 1:41 am

Hi I am trying to open gerber files and I get error 4: Coordinate exceeds largest allowed value (1000.0 inches).

X623000Y78000*
X1072000Y1007500D02*

Coordinate maps to X=1072 Y=1007.5 inch using
current origin and Data Format:
2.3, Leaading zeros suppressed, Absolute, English

Please help how do I maps this to X=1072 Y=1007.5?

Thanks
hyoo

Most likely the format is set incorrectly and the file is basic Gerber (not Gerber extended).
Gerber extended files (RS-274X) have the format inside the file, in a header.
If this is the case, you will either have to set the fornat manually (before you import the file - see below forum post):
http://forums.pentalogix.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=144
or you can try "File/Import/Guess" (F4) to let ViewMate guess the format.
If none of these works, please email the file to support@pentalogix.com and we will investigate.
