SImple question - how to flip view

... so I can check the silkscreen on the bottom. Most apps have "flip view", "mirror view" or something. Can't find this: either in the menu or the help and this forum doesn't seem to have a search feature.

You need to edit the layer that contains the data you want to flip.
First select all data on that layer. An easy way to do this is right click on the layer in the layers toolbar and pick "Select/New".
Then execute a mirror command ("Edit/Edit Selection/Mirror").

Hmmm if that's the only way then that's fairly hopeless.

I don't want to edit the data - I just want to flip the viewport so I'm looking from the other side - just as you would if you were holding a double sided board in your hand.

For instance, in GC Prevue, it's just "View / Bottom Side View".

I can't believe you are missing something so obvious - maybe your users never create double-sided boards? If they do, it probably takes them 1 to 2 minutes before they go looking for that feature.

OK IMHO if you want to make it super-useful, you need to replicate the 'flip PCB over in my hand' experience with 3 options:

(1) flip and show only layers on top side
(2) flip and show only layers on bottom side
(3) flip but show all layers as though the PCB was transparent

I finally got back here to check up on this problem - thank you for the reply.

I will be sure to keep checking for a new release that will hopefully fix this most irritating bug.
